Reviews restaurant De Kersentuin
Really great!
"The restaurant is really great! The atmosphere is really clean and clear what made me feel so good! I visited in a summer day and even on 9pm I felt like I was lunching. I ordered the 3 course menu and I could not have chosen better: the steak tartar, a fish with radish and the chocolate tasting. My husband ordered the veal and it was incredible as well. The menu explain very briefly the dishes but it came much more elaborated and beautiful than the menu described."
Gluten free and something extraordinarily special
"Each of our 3 meals delighted the senses and the palate. Elegant presentation accentuated textures and flavours. A sense of fun further enhanced the eating experience. Superb starters, magical mains, delightful deserts. Guinea fowl, fregola and carrot was a culinary delight. Slow cooked veal with jasmine and leek took our breath away. Congratulations chef and the team, you are on the way to a Michelin star."
Worthy of a Michelin star!
"We travel to Amsterdam every year, always staying at Bilderberg Garden Hotel. In previous years the restaurant was just ok. Last year it was superb so on our trip last week we made sure we tried it again. Service was very good, we were offered the chefs surprise menu - 4 courses for 55 euro each. First we got a very nice Amuse Bouche, pumpkin based and very tasty. Next came our starters; chicken terrine for my partner and because I don't eat chicken I got prawns in a savoury broth, both superb. Next was halibut, beautifully presented and well balanced flavours. Then the highlight, venison served rare in a fantastic sauce. Accompaniments were delicisous too. Desert was bread and butter pudding with caramelised rum soaked raisins, served with ice cream, fantastic. Add in a bottle of really very nice champagne and our total bill was just over 200 euro. Not cheap but absolutely worth it. Can't wait to return."
