The star of the show is one of the oldest Christmas markets in Germany: the Dresdner Striezelmarkt on the Altmarkt. This Christmas market, with its huge Christmas tree, simply cannot be ignored. Dresdner Stollenfest

If you happen to be in Dresden around Christmas, we definitely recommend you visit the Stollenfest. Join us as our magnificent city celebrates its favourite traditional cake with tens of thousands of guests from all over the world! The festival is full of fun ‘ingredients’ such as a giant Stollen, a colourful parade, Miss Stollen and hundreds of proud bakers and patisseries. The festival takes place annually on the Saturday before the 2nd day of Advent.

In addition to the renowned Christmas stollen, there are plenty more things to enjoy at the Dresden Christmas markets. How about hot chocolate, delicious spices, roast almonds, game specialities, sausage and mulled wine? In other words: plenty of reasons to visit our Christmas markets.
